Keeping Fit in Winter

Staying healthy and fit during the winter months not only helps you cope with those seasonal blues, but also gives you enough endorphin boost to feel blissful.

Exercising

Regular exercise makes you feel sprightlier, thus helps you get out of bed during those cold morn-ings. An ongoing research also suggests that exercising may help bolster the immune system. Also, exercising helps you manage your weight, and improve your overall sense of wellbeing.

Staying Warm and Safe

Make sure to do warm-up exercises for up to 10 minutes to warm your muscles. When exercising outdoors, wear several layers to keep the heat in. Also, when going for a run after dark, wear bright and reflective clothing and stay in well-lit areas. Keep your earphones at home. Not being able to hear what goes on around you may render you defenseless.
